Day 2 Bellingham and the Ferry

We left Seattle early Friday morning for the ride to Bellingham with Jim, Jane and Meg. We were very eary for the Ferry since Meg had to return for a flight out of Seattle. We had time to wander the small town, before we could board at 4PM.

We found cranes on the water front and interesting murals on the sides of buildings.

Our Ferry was in port when we arrived. Ferry travel has no frills, no baggage check so we were responsible for our luggage at all times. The four of us took shifts staying with the luggage and exploring the town. Finally boarding time arrived and we found our stateroom cozy but very adequate. All we needed was a place to rest our heads at night, because we planned to spend most of our time on deck.
