Day 3 Billingham to Ketchikan

Our favorite spot on the ship - the top deck. We went there with books, cameras and binoculars however the books could have been left in the cabin.








On the left hand side ofthis picture you can see one of the tents that were set up.
There were about 5 whale sightings. The first one we watched for awhile at a distance turned out to be a rock shaped like the back of a whale. We became suspicious when never saw it spouting and it never seemed to change locations. As we got closer we knew it was a rock. This picture definitely is a whale as you can see its spout.

Numerous small craft were seen along the way, sail boats, fishing boats, and yachts as well as other ferries.
